Afgrund is a grindcore band from Sweden and Finland, founded in 2006 in Uppsala, Sweden by Pat, Andy and ex-drummer
Olle.
Now consisting of founding members Pat and Andy and long-time drummer Panu, Afgrund are back with the new album "The Dystopian", released January 5th 2018.

Totally knocked me on my backside. Aggressive, fast, muscular Death Metal just as you'd expect from the Netherlands but with a great deal of mournful depth and melody that makes it very memorable from the off. Don't sleep on Burial Remains.

Great multigenre blend of thrash, old-school Swedeath, hardcore and crust. Short songs, simple structures. D-beat-driven; mid-tempo thrash, HC and crust riffs with some OSSDM tremolo-picked riffing and short leads. Dirtyish, somewhat claustrophobic production. (Twitter review)
